How To Associate Tokens on Xact Wallet and GoMint.
Step 1: If you do not already have Xact wallet head over to the App store or the play store and download it for free:
Step 2: Open Xact wallet and click the location at the bottom that says either NTFs or “Your Gallery”
Step 3: You will now see one of 2 things, depending upon if you currently hold any NFTs or not. If you do not hold any NFTs you will see the following picture:
If you do have one or more NFTS you will see this screen but with your own collection:
Step 4: If you had no NFTS you see the big button to Associate, if not click the 3-dot Menu button in the top right as in this picture below:
Step 5: You will now see the following screenshot where you will enter the token ID of the NFT you want to purchase. Please note: You do not have to purchase an NFT in order to associate a token. For example when GoMint first launched our POC we had a customer who associated all the tokens we had listed before they went for sale so he could save time. This also comes in handy in case you trade or gift with another user.
Step 6: Type in the token ID for the token you wish to associate. On GoMint this is listed right under the Token/NFT in the gallery. For example see the below picture of “Hashgraph Origins” by HBar_BagHolder:
Step 7: So we want to enter 0.0.402961 in red circle above into the field then click approve.
Finally you should see the following message:
Now that the association is done. You can purchase tokens. Be sure to click “Your wallet” on GoMint and be sure your wallet address is entered correctly and when purchase is complete wait 30 seconds then refresh and make sure your token is not in “Escrow” if it is withdraw token and it will appear shortly in Xact Wallet.
A community member made a good video of the process which can be found below. Note: Speed is a little fast but if you click settings icon (gear) you can slow speed to half and follow easier.
